Today we want to share with you photos of some of the most incredible places on the planet. Here are some places, either natural or built, that are so amazing that they seem like they are right out of a fairytale.

Nazca. The Nazca lines are one of the biggest mysteries of our time. They are located in Peru in South America and are basically a series of lines etched into the earth. They have no idea how old they are but the first recording of them dates from 1500. The lines are miles and miles long and the weirdest part about them is that you can only see them from the air. Do you think they were made to honor the gods???

Neuschwanstein. That’s the name of one of the most famous and beautiful castles around. It is located in Germany and was built in 1866. The king who commissioned the castle wanted to pay homage to all that is fantasy and romanticism. Neuschwanstein was actually also the castle that inspired the castle in the Disney movie, Sleeping Beauty.

The Great Wall of China. This wall was built to protect the Chinese borderlands and keep out invading nomadic tribes for 1000 years. It is a sad fact that about 10 million people died while helping to build the Great Wall and it is 12,500 miles long.

Taj Mahal. This building is considered to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Located in India, the Taj Mahal has a sad history behind it. The Emperor Sha Jahan decided to build the Taj after his beloved wife died to pay homage to her. Therefore, the Taj  is not actually a palace, but an enormous tomb for his wife.

Angel’s Waterfall. Found in Venezuela this waterfall is one of the tallest in the world with a drop of about 2,650 feet.

The Dead Sea. This sea is located 1,364 below sea level (!) and is one of the lowest locations on earth. It is also the saltiest sea in the world and because of this fish do not live in its waters. Also, because of all the salt a person can float on this sea without even trying and it’s almost impossible to drown.

You might need to use tools that require adult supervision, such as glue gun and scissors. If so, these can be replaced by textile glue and safety scissors. Make sure you ask your parents some help.

Grandmas are used to saving buttons just in case they need one for something someday. Today you can join in the fun and make some cool necklaces and rings using old buttons.

Bracelets. Use small buttons from shirts to make bracelets from buttons. You need a strong string, like fishing line or cord plus buttons of different colors and small in size. You could also use the elastic from a bracelets you no longer use or the sting from the back of a painting or old photo.

Necklaces. A button necklace could be very chic. Try to use buttons made from mother of pearl and if you don’t have them then look for them in the craft shop. Use a strong and tie each button on as you go.

Frames. You could also decorate frames and boxes for photos with buttons. You need a plain frame, acrylic paint, glue and buttons the same color as the paint you choose. Paint the frame and then when it is dry, stick on the buttons in varying tones. Let it dry and you have a very cool gift.

Earrings. Making earnings is one of the easiest ways to use up your buttons. You will need the hook for the earrings, which you can get at a craft shop or you could use hook from old earrings. Then just pick out some buttons that you like and tie them with strong. Then attach them to the hooks and you’ve got handmade button earrings.

Hair bobbins. You can take bobby pins and glue a button to them. You could also do the same with old bobbins that you no longer like or use. This will give you a new young, fresh look.

Rings. Button rings are very unique and you can be creative as to how to make them. You will need a ring for the base and what you use depends on your imagination. Try to use the most different buttons you can find around the house: Square buttons, fake rock buttons, or even buttons made of wood or covered in fabric…..then stick them on the base with strong glue.
