Pretty Before Going To Bed!

It is best to take some time before you go to bed to take care of any beauty needs. In the morning we are always in a hurry, so if you get ready a bit the night before you will have less to do in the morning.

Tired eyes, To avoid puffy or dark circles under your eyes in the morning, try out this trick. Take a warm tea bag and place it under your eyes for 10 minutes. You’ll see how relaxing this is!

After the tea, then take a hot shower and watch your face well with a special pore cleansing soap. This will get rid of blackheads and other unwanted blemishes.

What about tired legs? To avoid tired legs, spray your legs down with super cold water!

OK, we know this sounds a bit nuts, but cold water will get your circulation going and revive tired legs.
Hair. Dry your hair before going to bed. If you sleep on wet hair you could get sick and you may wake up in the morning with a strange hairdo!

If you follow these easy steps, then when you wake up in the morning all you will have to do is wash your face and brush your teeth, and off you go! Ready!

You might need to use tools that require adult supervision, such as glue gun and scissors. If so, these can be replaced by textile glue and safety scissors. Make sure you ask your parents some help.

In Japanese culture dragonflies represent courage, strength, and happiness. Send a friend well wishes this Valentine’s Day by sending them this one-of-a-kind bubble card.

What you’ll need:

  • Design cardstock 8 ½” x 11″
  • Fake dragonfly
  • Gold thread
  • Glitter glue
  • Black marker
  • ½ of a large plastic ball (clear)
  • Small gold-colored gold beads (note: younger siblings should not handle these unsupervised)
  • Glue gun
  • Watered down glue
  • Ruler/pencil
  • Scissors
  • Scraps of white cardstock

How to make it:

Step 1: Card Cutout

  1. Fold design cardstock in half, lengthwise.
  2. Place ½ of plastic ball approx. 2″ from top and center on front of card.
  3. Trace out a circle.
  4. Cut out circle on front of card.
  5. Cut out a very small heart with white cardstock.

Step 2: Bubble and Dragonfly

  1. Using the hot glue gun, glue half of the plastic ball over top of circle cut out. (The plastic ball will be on the outside of the card, the dragonfly will be on the inside of the card. It will peek through the hole in the front of the card.)
  2. Apply glitter glue to body of dragonfly (let it dry ).
  3. Glue dragonfly on inside of card approx 4″ from top so that when the card is closed, it is positioned inside the plastic ball.
  4. Apply a thin amount of watered down glue around dragonfly.
  5. Sprinkle small gold beads on top of the watered down glue.

Step 3: “Be Mine!” Heart

  1. Take the small cut out heart and write  “Be Mine!” on front using a black marker.
  2. Apply glitter glue (we used blue) around edge of heart (let it dry).
  3. Glue one end of the gold thread to back of heart.
  4. Glue heart on inside of card near bottom right of dragonfly. Make sure that the heart can be seen through the plastic ball when the card is closed.
  5. Glue other end of gold thread to inside of card and around dragonfly.

Tips:

  • Replace dragonfly with a butterfly
