‘We Are The World 25 For Haiti’ Debuts TONIGHT!

The world premiere of the “We Are The World” reboot will air tonight (February 12) at 7:30/6:30c during the Opening Ceremony of the Vancouver Winter Olympics!

With more than 80 artists involved and a good reason to re-record the song, “We Are The World 25 For Haiti” will raise money and make grants for efficient Haiti relief and continual development of programs to benefit the nation in the future through the newly created We Are The World Foundation.

As soon as the song premieres on NBC, it’ll be available for download and on World25.org, iTunes and on YouTube. You can see the music video on all three sites.

Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas cuddle up to Mickey Mouse as they run around Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida before soundchecking on Thursday afternoon (February 11).

The duo performed a private concert during the Celebrate Family Volunteers event held at Epcot Center and filmed the music video for their upcoming duet, “Make A Wave.” The tune will be featured in Disneynature’s upcoming movie OCEANS.

The song will make its debut on Radio Disney February 26th with the music video premiering March 14th. All proceeds from iTunes — out March 15– purchases will go to benefit environmental charities through the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund (DWCF).

Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas show off their successfully planted trees in this new shot from the Disney Parks “Celebrating Family Volunteers” event held at Walt Disney World on Thursday afternoon (February 11).

The duo were just two of the Disney stars who were on hand. Camp Rock 2 costars Alyson Stoner, Roshon Fegan plus Zeke & Luther’s Adam Hicks and Daniel Curtis Lee also joined in on the fun.

Joe and Demi also performed an exclusive concert for the families later on in the evening.

Nick Jonas keeps it cool as he and a pal head into a cafe for a bite to eat in Sherman Oaks, Calif., on Friday afternoon (February 12).

The 17-year-old musician was a special guest at last night’s Harmonies For Haiti hosted by Chelsea Staub. More pics from the event soon!

Nick and his brothers Joe and Kevin will be heading to Houston next month to perform with BFF Demi Lovato at the Houston Rodeo. Are you going to go?

You might need to use tools that require adult supervision, such as glue gun and scissors. If so, these can be replaced by textile glue and safety scissors. Make sure you ask your parents some help.

Make this Valentine’s Day card all about L-O-V-E! Spell out the word a whole new way with fun tiles, beads, and paint.

What you’ll need:

• Rainbow colored cardstock 5″ x 8″
• Lace 5″ x 4 ½”
• 5″- long beaded fabric trim
• ½” x 5″ design ribbon
• 4 small square mosaic tiles
• Tile marker
• Tile paint
• Paint brush
• 1 round-shaped clear glass gem
• 1 bag of small gold-colored gold beads (note: younger siblings should not handle these unsupervised)
• Hot glue gun
• Scrap design paper
• Ruler/pencil
• Scissors

How to make it:

Step 1: Paint Tiles

1. Paint each tile using assortment of colors and design. (Let it dry.)
2. Write “L” on the first tile using tile marker.
3. Dip tile in a small bowl of gold beads. (Let tile dry.)
4. Repeat with two other tiles writing the letters “V” and “E” on either tile.
5. Cut out a small heart that can fit on one of the tiles using a piece of scrap design paper.
6. Glue heart on back of clear gem so that the design can be seen through the gem.
7. Glue gem on the painted tile without a letter. The round gem will serve as the letter “O” for the tile.

Step 2: Creating the Card

1. Fold 5″ x 8″ cardstock in half (widthwise).
2. Spread glue along the top edge of card.
3. Glue top edge of lace at top of card.
4. Glue bead trim ½” down from top edge of card.
5. Glue design ribbon across top edge of card.
6. Glue all 4 tiles evenly across card 1″ from bottom spelling “LOVE.”

Tips:

• Replace tiles using with gems and placing paper letters behind gems.
• Glue guns are very hot! Make sure younger siblings are heavily supervised when they are plugged in, or have an adult apply the glue.
