Taylor Swift Spills On New Album!

So what does Taylor Swift say her next album will be about? Boys and Love of course!

The 20-year-old Nashville princess dished to MTV at the TIME 100 Gala, “[The new album] is going great actually. I’ve been writing it for the last two years, so this summer it’s all about the finishing touches and getting in there in the studio and recording the last couple songs.”

Who does she want to collaborate with next? “Jack White … ’cause he’s awesome. I love his style. I love his writing, and I think he’s an amazing player too, so any kind of collaboration there would be really awesome.”

TELL JJJ: Are you ready for Taylor’s next album?

Taylor Swift Donates $500,000 For Nashville Flood!

Taylor Swift is donating $500,000 to flood relief in Nashville, which will go directly to various flood relief organizations in the city (the flooding affected 30 people’s lives in three states).

“Being at home during the storm, I honestly could not believe what was happening to the city and the people I love so dearly,” the 20-year-old country cutie told The Associated Press via e-mail. “Nashville is my home, and the reason why I get to do what I love. I have always been proud to be a Nashvillian, but especially now, seeing the love that runs through this city when there are people in crisis.”

Added Taylor, “Please keep Nashville in your heart. Seeing a picture of the Grande Ole Opry halfway underwater was a kind of heartbreak I can’t describe.” (T-Swift moved to Nashville when she was 14.)

On June 16th, Ke$ha, a Nashville native and resident, will perform during a special flood benefit concert in Nashville.

Miranda Cosgrove – Sparks Fly Facts!

Miranda Cosgrove recently sat down with Alloy.com to chat about her recent endeavor into the music biz.

The 16-year-old singer/actress opened up about her inspirations, her favorite song and getting to drive around in Venice in a convertible. Check it:

On her inspiration to record an album: “It’s pop rock music with my own edge. I like artists like Gwen Stefani and Pink and Madonna and all the cool girl-powered artists, so I like to think it’s something like that. I just really wanted people to be able to put the CD in and have a really good time listening to it. I have CDs like that, like Ke$ha’s new album. I love to put it on the car and dance and have a good time, so I like songs like that.”

On her favorite song on the album: “I love ‘Disgusting.’ Ke$ha actually wrote that song. It’s probably the funniest song on the album. It says ‘it’s disgusting how I love you.’ And then ‘Kissin’ U,’ the single is one of my favorites.”

On the video concept for “Kissin U”: “The whole song is about a first love, so I just wanted a fun video that had a lot of different little moments with a guy. The whole video is all around the beach so I got to be in Venice for a few days and be on the beach so that was fun. And I got to drive in a really cool convertible. People kept stopping us and were like, ‘Nice ride!’ and we were like, ‘Oh, thanks.’”

http://crafts.kaboose.com/swf/craft_momframes-003_rdax_65.jpg

You might need to use tools that require adult supervision, such as glue gun and scissors. If so, these can be replaced by textile glue and safety scissors. Make sure you ask your parents some help.

This photo frame makes a perfect gift for Mother’s Day or as a springtime craft. You will enjoy making this picture frame, which works beautifully as a memento.

What you’ll need:

  • Cardboard or poster board or papier-mâché  frame
  • Decorative paper or fabric
  • 12 colorful buttons (six for each flower; five of one color, one of another color)
  • 12-inch piece of ribbon or string
  • Photograph
  • Scissors or paper cutter
  • White craft glue
  • Magnet (optional)

How to make it:

  1. Using photograph as a size guide, trim cardboard to make the four sides of the frame. A paper cutter will give you straighter cuts than scissors.
  2. Place your cardboard pieces around your photograph to be sure they are the right size. You will also need a piece of cardboard for the back of your picture frame. Use the pieces you just cut as a guide to determine the size of your backing. Trace and cut out back.
  3. Turn decorative paper or fabric right-side down on your work surface. Place cardboard pieces on paper or fabric and lightly trace around the cardboard with a pencil.
  4. Cut out the patterns you just created. Turning fabric or paper right-side up, glue them to the cardboard. When applying the glue, use a sponge, paintbrush or your finger to spread the glue evenly over the cardboard so that you don’t have gaps or bumps.
  5. Line up your cardboard pieces onto your backing to help you position your photo. Glue photo to the backing.
  6. Glue the frame pieces around the photo.
  7. Position buttons in each corner to create flowers. Use one color for the center of the flower, and five of another color for the petals. Glue in place once you have them where you want them.
  8. Tie a bow in the center of string or ribbon. Glue the tails to the back of the frame.
  9. You can also glue a magnet to the back of the frame if you like, or use the magnet instead of the ribbon hanger.

Tips:

  • You can find papier-mâché  frames at most craft and discount department stores. If using a purchased frame, use it as a guide to cut your fabric or paper and glue in place.
  • For younger siblings, instead of gluing fabric to the frame pieces, have them color, draw or paint a pattern on construction paper.
  • If you already have several buttons on hand, pick your fabric or paper based on the colors you already have. Buttons can be found in the sewing department of craft and discount department stores in many different colors and package sizes.

  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup shredded Italian-blend cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

  1. Warm a pat of butter in a pan over medium heat; add spinach and sauté until wilted, about 5 minutes. Let cool, then chop coarsely.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine ricotta, egg, Italian-blend cheeses, basil and nutmeg. Add spinach and mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste; set aside.
