DUCKLING MAKES BOY WALK

Sometimes love can do what medicine cannot.

Doctors told Finlay’s parents that he would never walk. He was paralyzed as a baby, and there was no cure for him.

Finlay’s mother came across a duckling in the road one day with a broken leg and she decided to take it home and cure it. Little by little, the duckling began to walk again.

And what did Finlay think about all of this?Inspired by the duckling, Finlay decided to imitate the duckling. Finlay began to walk at 4, when everyone told him he never would be able to.What doctors could not do,a duckling could…

Doctors are shocked by Finlay’s story and there is no scientific explanation for it.

While all the adults and doctors talk about how this could happen, Finlay is having fun chasing the duckling around the house.

Spicy Wasabi Alarm Clock!

SPICY WASABI ALARM CLOCK

When it is time to get up ion the morning, many times, the alarm clock doesn’t work well.

You may ignore your alarm clock if the bell or music that it uses to wake you up is always the same. Then you are late to school!

People have tried all sorts of alarm clocks, from jumping puppy alarm clocks to puzzle alarms…but nothing compares to the Wasabi alarm! Do you know what wasabi is? It is a VERY spicy Japanese paste that is used in many dishes in Japan.

The Wasabi alarm clock takes advantage of this spicy sauce to wake up the laziest people around. It works by blowing dry powder wasabi into  the sleeping person’s nose. This wakes a person up with the sensation of burning, and incredible desire to drink some water and get rid of the sting. A simple and perhaps painful way to get up in the morning!

Known as “Japanese horseradish”, its root is used as a spice and has an extremely strong flavor. Its hotness is more akin to that of a hot mustard rather than the capsaicin in a chili pepper, producing vapors that stimulate the nasal passages more than the tongue.

Wasabi is often served with sushi or sashimi, usually accompanied with soy sauce.

Funny Animals!

Sometimes pets can be so funny that we just have to capture the moment on film.

What do you think about this puppy? He sleeps anywhere! Whether with his puppy brothers on top of a plastic bottle, this little guy has no problem finding a pillow.

There are some animals that don’t like having their photo taken. Just ask this kitten hidden behind this plant. It has a frightened look on its face don’t you think?

Some people try to bring attention to their pets by dressing them up and giving them weird haircuts. Just look at this poodle with a geometric hair style.

Last but not least, squirrels, which always look cute. They are usually pretty easy to take photos of.

It was the 14th of February!!!

Chinese Astrology: Animals Of The Chinese Zodiac!

Chinese Zodiac

Each Chinese New Year is linked to one of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac.

The following slides will help you figure out which is your Chinese zodiac animal and discover what famous people also share your sign.

NOTE: Since the Chinese New Year is determined by the Lunar calendar, the last day of the Chinese New Year is not December 31st and the first day of the year is not January 1st. The New Year usually begins between January 21st and February 20th. If you have a birthday that occurs in January or February, please consult a Chinese zodiac calculator to figure out your sign.

There are endless variations of the folklore story explaining how the order of the animals of the zodiac were chosen. Below is a popular telling of tale:

When it came time for the Jade Emperor in heaven to decide the order of the zodiac, he invited all the animals to participate in a race. The order of the zodiac would be decided by the order in which animals finished the race.

When the competition started, the ox was leading the pack, but the rat jumped on his back. Since the rat was so light and small, the ox did not realize that the rat was hitching a ride. As the ox approached the finish line, the rat leap off his back and was crowned as the first animal to complete the race.

After all the creatures finished the race, the order was finalized: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig.

According to legend, those born in a particular year of an animal are said to possess particular character traits associated with that animal.
