Oily skin is the hardest to take care of, especially when you are prone to breakouts.

Today we are going to share with you how to treat oily skin with a cheap and easy product: cucumber.

Many people don’t know it, but cucumber calms, cleans and gives valuable nutrients to skin.

If you have red skin patches, acne, oily skin or blackheads, cucumber can help.

How? Write down this cucumber wash recipe and use it alongside your regular facial cleansers.

Liquify a cucumber in a blender or food processor along with one glass of non-fat milk. Blend with the peel and all because the peel has the most vitamins. Then, with a cotton ball, apply the mix to your face, especially in problems areas. Let the mix do its magic for 15 minutes and then remove it with warm water.

Always remember that after a treatment such as this you need to wash your face with facial soap and apply your moisturizer.

HOW TO STRENGTHEN YOUR NAILS?

If you like to always have your nails looking good, we are sure that you feel frustrated when they chip and break.

If you want to know how to get stronger nails, then pay attention to these useful tips. They work!

File your nails: Every week you need to file you nails. Why? Because when you file your nails your body receives the message that it is time to regenerate your nails again. When this happens, the nail comes through stronger and in this way, will last longer.

Don’t use too much polish: At least a couple of days a week go without polish and give your nails time to breathe.

Don’t paint straight on the nail: Before painting your nails, use one coat of clear nail protector first. This will help strengthen your nails and give them needed nutrients.

Oil: Use almond, baby or olive oil on your nails after you have removed polish. You’ll see how healthy this makes your nails!

You might need to use tools that require adult supervision, such as glue gun and scissors. If so, these can be replaced by textile glue and safety scissors. Make sure you ask your parents some help.

Want to enjoy birdsong without having to lock a bird up in a cage? We have the solution.

Here is how to make your very own backyard bird feeder:

1-Start by drawing a 1/2-inch asterisk on the side of a clean 1-liter soda bottle, about 4 inches from the bottom.

2-Rotate the bottle 90 degrees and draw another asterisk 2 inches from the bottom. Draw a 1-inch-wide circle opposite each asterisk.

3- Ask your parents to use a craft knife to slit the asterisk lines and cut out the circles. Insert a wooden spoon handle first through each hole and then through the opposite asterisk, – see the picture.

4 – Remove the bottle cap and twist a small eye screw into the top of it for hanging.

And that’s that! Now all you have left to do is hang your feeder from a tree and wait for it to call the birdies in your area. They will especially appreciate your creation come winter!

Part I:

TIPS ON HOW TO RECYCLE I

We all know that it is important to recycle. But are you doing it the right way?

Here are some tips that you can also share with your parents on the right way to recycle.

Separate in containers: Having containers for paper, plastic, tin and glass inside your house can at times, be a challenge. If you have the space then mark 4 containers and keep your recycling separate. If not, use one bin and empty it regularly.

Pay attention: When you go to the recycling bins in the street, make sure you are putting things in the right place. It may seem obvious, but some plastics are recyclable and others are not. Make sure to check before you toss something into the bin.

Some things are not recyclable: There are certain products that cannot be mixed with other recyclable items. These are items such as razors, batteries, paint and other dangerous objects.

Part II:

HOW TO RECYCLE PART II

We continue with tips on recycling and how to reduce and reuse in your home.

Glass:

Make sure to rise out glass and remove the lid or cork before placing it in the bin. Every state in the US has a different method of recycling, and internationally, recycling varies depending on where you live. But usually glass goes with glass and should be fairly clean.

Not all glass can be recycled in the bins. Windows, glasses and pitchers, for example, can not be recycled with regular glass. Also, do not put bricks or anything made of ceramic in the glass container.

Paper:

Easy enough, right? Here you put paper, newspaper, magazines, etc.

Careful though, because no plastic can go in here, and many paper cartons have plastic on them (think about a juice box, for example). You cannot recycle dirty paper in this bin either. For example, no napkins with pizza grease on them.

What to do with things we cannot recycle?:

You need to take things like batteries, paint and other objects that can be harmful to the environment to a special drop off point in your city. You can call the city waste management headquarters for more info on where these items go.
