The Jonas Brothers Support The Elephant Project!

The Jonas Brothers each hold up a stuffed elephant in support of The Elephant Project, an organization to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association.

Here’s how The Elephant Project works: Celebs pose with an elephant beanie baby (because “elephants never forget”) and sign a special Elephant Project card, which are then auctioned off to raise money to fight Alzheimer’s disease. Each auction package comes with an 8″×10″ picture of the celebrity and the elephant, a signed card from that celebrity, and an elephant beanie baby.

Currently, over $21,000 has been raised for Alzheimer’s care, research and support!

Where Does Cinnamon Come From?

WHERE DOES CINNAMON COME FROM?

None of the desserts we love would taste as good without cinnamon. But where does this yummy spice come from?

Cinnamon comes from a tree that is native to the south of India and happens to be one of the oldest used spices around. Cinnamon is taken from the bark of this tree.

Besides being good to eat, it turns out that cinnamon is also good for you. Hot milk and cinnamon will help you sleep. It also helps with digestion, so eating some cinnamon after a big meal will help you digest your food.

Have you ever burned your tongue because you drank something that was too hot? Well next time just put a bit of cinnamon on the burn and let its calming effects take over as it helps to renew burned cells.

How Do You Care For A Guinea Pig?

HOW DO YOU CARE FOR A GUINEA PIG?

The Guinea Pig is one of the most friendly and sweetest animals that a person can adopt.

Unlike the hamster, Guinea Pigs do not bite when they feel threatened, instead they become paralyzed and don’t move. They never attack.

The first few days that you have a Guinea Pig in your house can be a bit stressful for the animal and when you approach it, it will run the other way. But wait a bit, little by little the Guinea Pig will begin to trust you.

To begin winning its trust pet your Guinea Pig often. It will like it and to show you that it does, it will purr and even jump a bit. Don’t worry if you see the Guinea Pig running around and jumping like it is having an attack. This is normal and it is the way that they release energy.

Guinea Pigs need a lot of space. So if you adopt one then make sure the cage you get is spacious. Guinea Pigs are not climbers and they are a bit clumsy if anything, so make sure not to fill their cages with wheels and toys. What they do like are tunnels and space to burrow, so you could provide them with these.

And what does a Guinea Pig eat? You can buy special pellets for it at the pet store. Guinea Pigs also nee a lot of vitamin C, so make sure to give it sweet peppers and a variety of fruits throughout the week. For example: Monday – oranges, Tuesday – tomato, Wednesday – carrots, Thursday – banana, Friday – apple, Saturday – fresh spinach and on Sunday- kiwi.

Caring for your skin is essential to avoid breakouts and blackheads.

When you are a teen, your hormones are more active and you produce more oil in your skin than usual. This oil can clog your pores and give you zits and blackheads.
To avoid these issues and make sure your skin is clear and healthy, you need to take some daily steps.

Wash your face twice a day with soap that is made for the face. You can also find special soaps at the store, such as facial cleansing gels, etc. Take advantage of your showers to wash your face again, and let the steam from your showers open your pores for even deeper cleaning.

Once a week use an exfoliating scrub for deeper cleaning.

If you use make-up then you will have to take even more care with your face. Make sure to clean off the make-up every day and try not to touch your face much during the day. Also, if you do get acne, try not to mess with it too much because this will leave scarring.

If none of this works for you then go see a dermatologist. The doctor will then prescribe you a stronger treatment.
