Sophia Bush To Run Half-Marathon For The Gulf!

Sophia Bush just announced that she’s going to run a half-marathon (13.1 miles) to raise more funds for the victims of the Gulf Coast oil spill.

“I am going to run a half marathon this November,” the 27-year-old actress blogged. “Yup. Me. The asthmatic with a years-old knee injury, who hasn’t run a mile since Junior High. No seriously.”

Sophia continued, “I am going to work on video blogs for all of you, so you can meet the team members and our sponsors, you can see our runs, track our progress, and maybe even run with us, wherever you are! Imagine it. Hundreds, or even thousands of us, running all over the country, maybe all over the world! That would certainly show the powers that be that we will not back down. We will not be quiet. We will make our Little Voices heard!”

Get ready to run with Joe Jonas once again!

The 20-year-old musician/actor is hosting and running in a new iWin 5K Fun Run in Shoreline Park in Mountain View, California on Saturday, September 18th!

The 1k/5k run and walk is going to benefit the Special Olympics by donating money raised by participants and sponsors! The Special Olympics gives children and adults with developmental disabilities hands on sports training and allows them to compete in their favorite sports all for free!

To help raise even more money, the Jonas Brothers are giving away meet and greet opportunities and two VIP concert seats for their Shoreline Ampitheatre concert as prizes for the top fundraisers.

More than a dozen of Hollywood’s young stars have joined together for a new PSA called “Change The Odds,” in support of Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), an initiative raising funds for cancer research.

Some of the cast includes: Vanessa Hudgens, her boyfriend Zac Efron, the new Spider-Man Andrew Garfield, Dakota Fanning, Logan Lerman, Sofia Vassilieva, and William Moseley.

Selena Gomez – Beverly Cleary Wanted To Be Around To See The Movie!

Selena Gomez shares a sweet story about her new flick Ramona and Beezus with The View hosts on Wednesday morning (July 21) in NYC.

The 17-year-old actress shared of author Beverly Clearly’s involvement in the film, “They [the production team] weren’t actually going to tell us a lot about it. But after five years of convincing her, she wanted to still be around to see the movie. So, it was a big thing when they told the cast that. I was petrified because it’s an honor to be a part of this.”

Selena continued, “I think it’s great that she finally let us do it [make a movie of it]. We really took care of it and tried to make it the best.”

Selena told George about being good friends with Justin Bieber and teasing him about his height. She shared, “[I told him] ‘I’m not going to take off my heels. You’re short, embrace it.’”

On the show, George actually presented Selena with a gift basket from Warner Bros full of The Wizard of Oz merchandise and Dynavox donated their machine in her name to the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles!

David Henrie Is The Children’s Champion!

David Henrie and Peter Murietta show off their framed awards as they attend LA’s BEST 15th Annual Family Brunch at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles on Sunday morning (June 6).

The 20-year-old actor stopped to chat with JJJ about the honor, “I’m excited to receive this award. It means you’re doing something right.”

David and Peter both received the Children’s Champion Awards for their continued work with the LA’s BEST program, “Actor’s Outreach,” which provides after school enrichment to Los Angeles youths.

Nicole Anderson, Maria Canals-Barrera and Gregg Sulkin showed up for support and Fred Willard, Doris Roberts, and Buzz Aldrin also received awards at the brunch.

Katy Perry will host AND perform at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards airing Monday (August 9) @ 9PM ET/PT on FOX!
