Ashley Tisdale Covers American Cheerleader!

Ashley Tisdale stands front and center on the September/October 2010 cover of American Cheerleader magazine.

The 25-year-old actress opens up to the mag about the sport, her new CW series Hellcats and the crazy Hollywood fame. Check it:

On blocking out the Hollywood life: “It’s not normal to have people constantly talking about you and having paparazzi and all that craziness. You have to block it out and live your life as normally as you can.”

On her new series: “It’s dramatic with some great cheers and really good energy. I have a really good feeling about it.”

On being a cheerleader: “I was really shy when I was younger and cheerleading helped me come out of my shell.” (She was a Spartan cheerleader in Ocean Township, NJ.)

On her newfound respect for the sport: “To anyone who thinks cheerleading isn’t a sport, I can definitely tell you that it is.”

On dating someone who isn’t an actor: “I don’t really date other actors. I think they’re great, but I like being with someone who has different interests than I do. At the end of the day, I want to be able to go home and talk about other things.”

Ash’s American Cheerleader cover will hit stands on Tuesday, August 31st and Hellcats premieres on Wednesday, September 8th @ 9PM ET/PT on the CW.

David Henrie and Jake T. Austin work together at the North Texas Food Bank in Dallas on Monday afternoon (August 23).

The Wizards of Waverly Place actors worked alongside volunteers in an effort to provide local kids with recently-reformulated bread now made without high fructose corn syrup, which retains the taste they love and the nutrition parents appreciate – just in time for the back-to-school season.

David and Jake helped to donate 25,000 of Sara Lee Soft & Smooth bread to the food bank.

The cast of Wizards of Waverly Place gather around writer and producer Peter Murietta as they accept the Emmy award for Outstanding Children’s Program at the 2010 Creative Arts Emmy Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon (August 21).

The movie was up against it’s TV counterpart, iCarly, Hannah Montana and JONAS. Reactions to the win soon!

Also, Jake T. Austin and Maria Canals-Barrera are pictured arriving to the ceremony below.

Check out Jake T. Austin’s home in New York!

The 15-year-old actor shows his fans around the acreage in the suburbs of New York and the three family goats!

Jake recently opened up to JJJ on costar pal David Henrie’s recent writing ventures on Wizards of Waverly Place. He shared, “Oh, David. Yeah, his episode sucked by the way (laughs), No, no. It was actually really good. I didn’t think he had it in him. I think of him as just the actor. You think of everyone you work with one dimensionally until they prove their stuff. David wrote a great episode. I have much more of a respect for him that he actually followed through. He set his mind to something and got it done.”

Jake added on, about possibly writing for the series himself, I can write comedies. Sitcoms, I don’t understand it at all. I still don’t understand it even being on it. I just don’t understand the formula so I wouldn’t be too good at it. David worked on a lot of sitcoms through so he knows it better than I do. But no, I definitely wouldn’t be able to do that.”

Justin, Alex and Max Russo are coming back — not just in a fourth season, but a second movie too!

Selena Gomez, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin and Jennifer Stone will be reprising their roles as sibling wizards and their live-in best friend on the fourth season of Wizards of Waverly Place, Disney Channel announced today.

But we won’t just be finding out who will ultimately win the title of family wizard — we’ll also see another movie from the popular franchise! Dan Berendsen, who wrote the first Wizards movie, is writing the second movie script right now.

And don’t worry, Gregg Sulkin will be back too

Shakira On Wizards Of Waverly Place TONIGHT!

Are you all ready for Shakira on Wizards?

The Colombian singer will guest star in tonight’s episode titled “Dude Looks Like Shakira,” Alex (<Selena Gomez), Justin (David Henrie) and Max (Jake T. Austin) are shocked to discover that international music sensation Shakira is actually their Uncle Kelbo (Jeff Garlin) who has been abusing one of the Main Eleven Wizards Rules.

Unfortunately for Uncle Kelbo, he can no longer control when transformation between himself and Shakira happens.

David Henrie, Selena Gomez and Jennifer Stone put up their dukes against Sylvester Stallone in this new still from Wizards of Waverly Place.

In the upcoming episode “The Good, The Bad and the Alex,” Alex (Gomez) is caught off guard when she discovers her friend Stevie (Hayley Kiyoko) is leading a wizard revolution.

To the dismay of Justin and Harper (Henrie, Stone), she decides to help Stevie with her quest to make sure no wizard ever has to give up their powers again.

“The Good, The Bad and the Alex” premieres Friday, May 7 @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.
