Justin Timberlake & Elton John – American Idol Judges?!

Justin Timberlake and the legendary Elton John might serve as judges on the upcoming season of American Idol.

THR is reporting Idol producer/19 Entertainment boss Simon Fuller is trying to woo the both of them into doing it.

After a two-year hiatus, reality producer Nigel Lythgoe is returning to executive produce Idol following the exit of top judge Simon Cowell.

“I would replace the entire judging panel,” Nigel told Zap2It in April. “I don’t think it really works replacing one person.”

Other names under consideration: Usher, Chris Isaak, and Harry Connick Jr.

Jessica Simpson – ‘American Idol’ Bound?

Jessica Simpson is reportedly in negotiations to join the cast of American Idol!

The 30-year-old entertainer has met with producer/creator Simon Fuller several times, a source tells Life & Style. “They like her — she’s a good fit — and she likes it. Now it’s just a question of how to fit her in.”

Idol is reportedly shaking things up for its tenth season after Simon Cowell’s departure.

“[Jessica]’s not his replacement — they’re two entirely different personalities,” the source added. “This is part of a massive overhaul of the show. There may be more judges, more opinions.”

FYI: Justin Timberlake and Elton John were rumored to be in talks in the show, too, but both of their reps have denied involvement.

Ellen DeGeneres Leaves American Idol!

Ellen DeGeneres will not return to the judging panel on American Idol for the show’s upcoming season.

Here’s what the 52-year-old entertainer had to say in a statement:

“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for.”

“I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on Idol and I am very grateful for the year I had, I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

Idol is said to be undergoing a major shakeup after Simon Cowell’s departure. Justin Timberlake, Jessica Simpson and Elton John have all been rumored to be a part of the show’s tenth season.

Jennifer Lopez & Steven Tyler – American Idol Judges!

Jennifer Lopez has officially landed a spot on American Idol according to GossipCop. The 41-year-old singer/actress is hoping to make a comeback after parting with Sony Records and less than stellar results at the box office.

Additionally, Steven Tyler has reportedly been offered a spot on the judging panel as well.

Kara DioGuardi, a judge for the last two seasons, has reportedly been let go according to TMZ.

Steven Tyler – ‘Probably’ American Idol’s Newest Judge!

Steven Tyler has spoken about his possible future on American Idol!

The 62-year-old rocker chatted with People before going to an after party at Studio 54 over the weekend, saying he planned to record an album and was “probably going to be a judge on American Idol.”

“I’m doing it,” Steven said of Idol. “What do you think? I’m doing it.”

Steven also poked fun at the recent media mentions, saying, “The rumors are true – I’m pregnant with Joe Perry’s baby.”

Also rumored to be joining the judging panel is Jennifer Lopez.

Kevin Jonas – Field Trips For All With Lunchables!

Kevin Jonas pays close attention to a young fan as he shows him how to do a dance at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County on Tuesday afternoon (April 27).

The 22-year-old musician joined a second grade class from Manhattan Place Elementary School as he kicked off Lunchables Field Trips For All program.

As part of their adventure, the kids were given the VIP treatment as they learned about all things aquatic, including viewing a reconstructed 63-foot-long Humbolt Fin Whale as well as taking a unique tour with an ocean curator discussing the preservation of skeletons and shells.

Kevin shared with press, “I remember my first field trip to Liberty Science Center. It was one of the best parts of going to school – being with friends, learning about new things and having fun! I’m excited to work with the Lunchables team to help kick-off the ‘Field Trips for All’ program, and help give deserving kids a chance to discover new things and get inspired by a great experience.”

The “Field Trips For All” program is the first effort from Lunchables aimed at empowering kids with opportunities that help them realize their full potential. Justin Bieber recently caught up with MTV to give a thanks to his peers and fans.

The 16-year-old musician told MTV that he’s glad he didn’t go through Disney to make his way through the industry. Justin shared, “I think it’s because I didn’t go through the Disney route. I didn’t go corny, but, like, at the same time I’ve been cool and collected.”

He added on, “Well, basically I look at people like Usher and Justin Timberlake and how they went from being a child star to blowing up and doing what they’re doing now. I look up and see what they do and see that’s what I want to do and things that I want to do that’s different and things that I wanna do that’s working for them.”

But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t like his peers. Take Selena Gomez for instance. “I just hang out with whoever. I’m also friends with Selena Gomez. I hang out with everyone,” he said.

Zac Efron & Vanessa Hudgens Help For Haiti Relief!   

   

Zac Efron checks up on his girlfriend, Vanessa Hudgens, as she and other celebs thank pledges for their support at the Hope For Haiti Now telethon on Friday (January 22) in Los Angeles.   

The 22-year-old actor and his 21-year-old sweetie supported Haiti relief efforts last night with Hollywood’s best and brightest!   

Young celebs in attendance include Up in the Air’s Anna Kendrick, the Jonas Brothers and actress Ashley Tisdale!   

   

Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Anna Kendrick snap a picture together backstage during the Hope for Haiti Now: A Global Benefit For Earthquake Relief telethon in Los Angeles on Friday night (January 22).
