Mini-Cakes! Too Cute!

Making Stéphanie Kilgast’s mini-cakes requires the hands of a surgeon.

This French-German artist makes little cakes that look just like the originals. They look delicious, but they are about the size of a quarter and you can’t actually eat them. They sure look real though!

Here are a few photos of her creations!

More Super Cute Animals!

Earlier we shared with you some pics of some really cute baby animals. But check out the ones we have for you today!

Some of these are truly funny pets. Look at the little brown pup…we guess he wanted to teach those cushions a lesson! And the other one? What is going on with him and that towel? Looks like he got all wrapped up in it in the washing machine.

The puppies are really cute. Wouldn’t you love to pluck one of these bench napping puppies up and take it home with you?

Cats are super lazy and can sleep anywhere, even playing a game of Sudoku!

The last photo is of wild pigs. They are dangerous in the wild, but look how cute they are when they are piglets!

If you said yes, then you are going to love these cute animal shots that we have for you today!

Check out their poses and their sweet little faces! And the piggy? Walking around in boots with no problem at all! We also think the two piggies covered in paint are pretty darling, they look as if they are smiling.

And you can’t tell us it is not funny to see a turtle eating a strawberry that is bigger than it is.

How about the hamster eating veggies, or the pup asleep on the cell phone? A cat and a mouse in the sun?

We love them all! What about you?

It was the 14th of February!!!

Chinese Astrology: Animals Of The Chinese Zodiac!

Chinese Zodiac

Each Chinese New Year is linked to one of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac.

The following slides will help you figure out which is your Chinese zodiac animal and discover what famous people also share your sign.

NOTE: Since the Chinese New Year is determined by the Lunar calendar, the last day of the Chinese New Year is not December 31st and the first day of the year is not January 1st. The New Year usually begins between January 21st and February 20th. If you have a birthday that occurs in January or February, please consult a Chinese zodiac calculator to figure out your sign.

There are endless variations of the folklore story explaining how the order of the animals of the zodiac were chosen. Below is a popular telling of tale:

When it came time for the Jade Emperor in heaven to decide the order of the zodiac, he invited all the animals to participate in a race. The order of the zodiac would be decided by the order in which animals finished the race.

When the competition started, the ox was leading the pack, but the rat jumped on his back. Since the rat was so light and small, the ox did not realize that the rat was hitching a ride. As the ox approached the finish line, the rat leap off his back and was crowned as the first animal to complete the race.

After all the creatures finished the race, the order was finalized: rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, goat, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig.

According to legend, those born in a particular year of an animal are said to possess particular character traits associated with that animal.

Where Does Cinnamon Come From?

WHERE DOES CINNAMON COME FROM?

None of the desserts we love would taste as good without cinnamon. But where does this yummy spice come from?

Cinnamon comes from a tree that is native to the south of India and happens to be one of the oldest used spices around. Cinnamon is taken from the bark of this tree.

Besides being good to eat, it turns out that cinnamon is also good for you. Hot milk and cinnamon will help you sleep. It also helps with digestion, so eating some cinnamon after a big meal will help you digest your food.

Have you ever burned your tongue because you drank something that was too hot? Well next time just put a bit of cinnamon on the burn and let its calming effects take over as it helps to renew burned cells.

How Do You Care For A Guinea Pig?

HOW DO YOU CARE FOR A GUINEA PIG?

The Guinea Pig is one of the most friendly and sweetest animals that a person can adopt.

Unlike the hamster, Guinea Pigs do not bite when they feel threatened, instead they become paralyzed and don’t move. They never attack.

The first few days that you have a Guinea Pig in your house can be a bit stressful for the animal and when you approach it, it will run the other way. But wait a bit, little by little the Guinea Pig will begin to trust you.

To begin winning its trust pet your Guinea Pig often. It will like it and to show you that it does, it will purr and even jump a bit. Don’t worry if you see the Guinea Pig running around and jumping like it is having an attack. This is normal and it is the way that they release energy.

Guinea Pigs need a lot of space. So if you adopt one then make sure the cage you get is spacious. Guinea Pigs are not climbers and they are a bit clumsy if anything, so make sure not to fill their cages with wheels and toys. What they do like are tunnels and space to burrow, so you could provide them with these.

And what does a Guinea Pig eat? You can buy special pellets for it at the pet store. Guinea Pigs also nee a lot of vitamin C, so make sure to give it sweet peppers and a variety of fruits throughout the week. For example: Monday – oranges, Tuesday – tomato, Wednesday – carrots, Thursday – banana, Friday – apple, Saturday – fresh spinach and on Sunday- kiwi.
