Chloe Bridges – Dana is Switzerland!

Chloe Bridges stars as Dana in the upcoming Camp Rock 2 The Final Jam — which premieres on Disney Channel in just nine days.

The 18-year-old pianist/actress caught up with TV Guide to chat about her character, the friendships she’s made and the movie. Check it:

On Dana: “The cool thing about Dana is she is just real and raw and honest and uninhibited — she is definitely an empowered female. She doesn’t really interact with any of the other girls in the movie. They would refer to Dana as Switzerland — she doesn’t get involved in the Camp Rock/Camp Star battle thing.”

On not realizing how big Camp Rock really was: “I actually didn’t quite know what I was getting myself into. I had no idea what a phenomenon Camp Rock had become and it blew me away how supportive and passionate the fans are. They would wait outside where we were shooting just to see us drive into work and that blew my mind. I’ve never worked on a movie that has so much hype around it.”

On pushing Nick Jonas into a lake: “He [took it] because he’s Nick and he’s the man and takes everything well, but I would’ve been mad.”

The new season of Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing is launching on September 15th!

Over the course of 10 weeks, Radio Disney and Disney Channel audiences will be invited to look, listen and vote for their favorite artist at RadioDisney.com or by texting “NBT” to DISNEY (347639). The highest ranked “N.B.T.” artist will have the opportunity to have their single released by Disney Music Group and open for Allstar Weekend at a special holiday performance.

The showcase includes interviews and in-studio performances with a new “N.B.T.” artist every two weeks. During each showcase period on Radio Disney, each artist will have their single on the playlist, and join on- air personalities Ernie D and Jake Whetter in studio. Simultaneously, Disney Channel will present a preview of each artist and a sampling of their musical talent in interstitials hosted by Jake. Each artist will also have two full songs, exclusive videos, photos and bios on RadioDisney.com.

KICKING DAISIES (September 29-October 12) — A four-member rock band–Duran Visek (guitar, vocals, age 15), Carly Kalafus (bass, age 14), Ben Spremulli (guitar, age 14), and Caitlin Kalafus (drums, age 17) — from Milford, Connecticut

SACHA EDWARDS (October 13-October 26) — A 14-year-old pop and rock singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, California

MATTHEW JOHNSON (October 27-November 9) — A 13-year-old pop singer and songwriter from Dallas, Texas

COCO JONES (November 10-November 23) — A 12-year-old pop singer and rapper from Columbia, South Carolina who currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee

The “N.B.T.” winner will be announced on-air by Ernie D on Friday, December 3.

The Suite Life NOT Ending!

Thanks to Popstar! mag, JJJ can clear up just what Debby Ryan meant from her latest tweets.

A rep from Debby’s team dished to Popstar! that, “She didn’t intend to get fans worried. She is working on the last episode of 3rd season. It’s sad and dramatic just like Cody and Bailey’s dramatic last episode for the end of the 2nd season. This is what Debby is referring to when she tweeted.”

“The end of the season is always tough for the cast, because they had such an amazing time this season. She was just expressing her sadness that the 3rd season is over to her fans it was not intended to say anything about the future of the show.”

The two Disney Channel mates just booked two of the lead roles in Lemonade Mouth, according to Deadline.

The story, based off the novel of the same name by Mark Peter Hughes, is about five disparate high school students who meet in detention and form a band.

Who else has been booked? Hayley Kiyoko (who you might remember as Stevie from Wizards) will play electric guitarist Stella Yamada, Naomi Scott as bass guitarist Mohini and Blake Michael as percussionist Charlie Delgado.

Nick Roux as Scott Pickett and Chris Brochu as Ray Beach will play rival band Mudslide Crush.

Lemonade Mouth is set for a 2011 release on Disney Channel.

Bridgit Mendler (Good Luck Charlie) and Adam Hicks (Zeke and Luther) are set to star in Lemonade Mouth, a new movie/musical franchise from Disney!

The film, which Disney hopes will be as successful as High School Musical, tells the story of five high school freshmen that form a band after meeting in detention, according to Deadline.

The series is based on the book by the same name, written by Mark Peter Hughes.

Lemonade Mouth is scheduled for release next year!

Hutch Dano and Adam Hicks watch with suspense as a wrestling match goes on in front of their eyes in this new still from Zeke & Luther.

In the upcoming episode “Super Shredder,” Zeke and Luther (Dano, Hicks) convince Mitch (Peter Hulne), an amateur hanging around the skate park, to try skateboarding full-time. They soon discover they convinced their favorite wrestler to quit his day job.

“Super Shredder” premieres MONDAY, August 16 @ 8:30PM ET/PT on Disney XD.

It was also just announced that the popular Disney XD series has been renewed for a third season!

Justin Timberlake & Elton John – American Idol Judges?!

Justin Timberlake and the legendary Elton John might serve as judges on the upcoming season of American Idol.

THR is reporting Idol producer/19 Entertainment boss Simon Fuller is trying to woo the both of them into doing it.

After a two-year hiatus, reality producer Nigel Lythgoe is returning to executive produce Idol following the exit of top judge Simon Cowell.

“I would replace the entire judging panel,” Nigel told Zap2It in April. “I don’t think it really works replacing one person.”

Other names under consideration: Usher, Chris Isaak, and Harry Connick Jr.

Jessica Simpson is reportedly in negotiations to join the cast of American Idol!

The 30-year-old entertainer has met with producer/creator Simon Fuller several times, a source tells Life & Style. “They like her — she’s a good fit — and she likes it. Now it’s just a question of how to fit her in.”

Idol is reportedly shaking things up for its tenth season after Simon Cowell’s departure.

“[Jessica]’s not his replacement — they’re two entirely different personalities,” the source added. “This is part of a massive overhaul of the show. There may be more judges, more opinions.”

FYI: Justin Timberlake and Elton John were rumored to be in talks in the show, too, but both of their reps have denied involvement.

Ellen DeGeneres will not return to the judging panel on American Idol for the show’s upcoming season.

Here’s what the 52-year-old entertainer had to say in a statement:

“A couple months ago, I let FOX and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for.”

“I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on Idol and I am very grateful for the year I had, I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

Idol is said to be undergoing a major shakeup after Simon Cowell’s departure. Justin Timberlake, Jessica Simpson and Elton John have all been rumored to be a part of the show’s tenth season.

Jennifer Lopez has officially landed a spot on American Idol according to GossipCop. The 41-year-old singer/actress is hoping to make a comeback after parting with Sony Records and less than stellar results at the box office.

Additionally, Steven Tyler has reportedly been offered a spot on the judging panel as well.

Kara DioGuardi, a judge for the last two seasons, has reportedly been let go according to TMZ.

Steven Tyler has spoken about his possible future on American Idol!

The 62-year-old rocker chatted with People before going to an after party at Studio 54 over the weekend, saying he planned to record an album and was “probably going to be a judge on American Idol.”

“I’m doing it,” Steven said of Idol. “What do you think? I’m doing it.”

Steven also poked fun at the recent media mentions, saying, “The rumors are true – I’m pregnant with Joe Perry’s baby.”

Also rumored to be joining the judging panel is Jennifer Lopez.
